Downtown
- Downtown Ithaca, offers a variety of neighborhoods for all
income and social brackets. Apartment price ranges can vary
significantly by neighborhood, but you can also find great values.
Ithaca, NY has a fantastic bus system TCAT
that can provide transportation to anywhere including Cornell
and Ithaca College. If you are looking for an apartment that
is quiet and provides more value for the dollar then downtown
Ithaca might be the place for you. Typically Downtown Ithaca
caters more towards to graduate student and professional renters.
Ithaca Commons -IthacaCommons.com
The Ithaca commons is a section of State Street that has been
closed to automobile traffic and converted into a promenade
for shopping and restaurants. The commons is home to the Ithaca
Festival www.ithacafestival.com,
concerts and community events. Just one block north of the commons
is Dewitt Park, home to a farmers market. The Ithaca commons
is also walking distance to the Tompkins County Library, Banking,
and Hotels.
Northeast - The Northeast hill of Ithaca offers Malls,
Restaurants, Supermarkets, Tompkins County Regional Airport,
and many different forms of apartments and communities. IthacaRentals.com

area. Most of the complex and apartment living are close to
bus routes and offer a back entrance via Cayuga Heights to Cornell
University. The Northeast hill offers easy access to Downtown
via Rt.13.
Belle Sherman - Belle Sherman is on Ithaca's East Hill just
above College Town. This residential community is home to a
small amount of apartments and more commonly house rentals.
Belle Sherman is a common residential community and includes
many employees and graduates from Cornell University. Belle
Sherman's location is close to shopping on East Hill, Cornell,
and Collegetown Restaurants. All of the amenities and location
provides a community with no necessity to venture to Downtown
Ithaca.
East Hill - East Hill: East Hill is a great community.
With housing here you have easy access to Cornell and East Hill
is the closest community to Cornell University Vet School. East
Hill provides shopping, a racquet ball club and bus routes to
Cornell. East hill provides easy access to all of Cornell campus
without entering through Collegetown. East Hill living can vary
from apartments to houses to available graduate condos.
Collegetown-Cornell
University - Ithaca's Collegetown is the place to be if
you want to be in the heart of the Cornell University action. Collegetown
offers Apartments, Houses for rent and rentals on a per-room basis.
Collegetown is walking distance to campus and offers all the necessities
for off campus living without a car.
South
Hill -
If you are looking for the place to live as an off campus Ithaca
College Student, then South Hill is the spot. South hill is

Commons Apartments on South Hill Range from renting a whole
house to room rental or complete house rental. The apartments
on South Hill are higher in price than those in other parts
of the city but as they always say "location" is the
seller.
Cayuga Heights - Cayuga Heights is many peoples opinion
the most desired Ithaca Living. The tree lined street and mostly
single family homes make this community a beautiful scene any
time of the year. Cayuga Heights is a difficult place to find
an apartment, but a must see on your visit. Our site periodically

These homes vary in lease terms but visit the site to search
for details. This is a great place to live as a professor of
Ithaca College or Cornell University.
North Campus - North Campus is considered the area just
north of the Fall Creek Bridge close to Bebe Lake. North Campus
is packed with Cornell University student living and dorm style
housing. Cornell's North Campus contains periodic Fraternity
and Sorority housing along with New England style architecture
single family homes. If you move to North Campus take a walk
around Bebe Lake and have a late night snack at "The Hot
Truck".
Cayuga
Lake Properties - Ithaca Rentals offers Short term vacation
rentals and many long term rentals. The apartments and houses
on Cayuga Lake offer the best of both worlds. The school year
is also the opposite of the lake peek season so, you can sometimes
get a fantastic house, off season for a great bargain and a
shorter lease term.
West Hill - The city of Ithaca is in a valley surrounded
on 3 sides by hills and on the north side, Cayuga Lake. West
hill is quite literally on the west side of Ithaca. Ithaca's
west hill consists of mainly residential community with fewer
apartments than many of the other areas of the city of Ithaca.
The west hill is a great place to live, an apartment here is
a great place call home.
" Ithaca's West Hill is home to Cayuga Medical Center (Hospital)
and has very easy access to the West End, and Cayuga inlets
Walk/Run path.
Just outside of Ithaca-
Dryden - Dryden is located On Rt.13, Between Ithaca and
Cortland. Dryden is a great alternative for housing and is considerably
less expensive then living in Ithaca. If you are attending Tompkins
County Community College, then this is a perfect place to live.
Dryden offers shopping, a Supermarket, Restaurants, and area

Danby-
Danby, NY is just south of Ithaca College and a short drive
to Ithaca. Danby is a rural town with virtually no shopping,
but if you are looking for seclusion and great valued apartments
than Danby might be a spot to consider.
Trumansburg - Trumansburg (T-Burg to the locals) is an
eclectic community approximately 10 miles from Ithaca. Trumansburg
is a great community with unique homes and Turn of the century
apartments. Trumansburg offers a great school district and also
has everything you would need without driving into Ithaca. Trumansburg
has two supermarkets, many restaurants and bars. Trumansburg
is also very close to Taughannock
Falls State Park which is a must see when visiting the area.

Lansing - Lansing has been coming on strong in both the
housing and commercial markets in recent years. Lansing offers
great schools, reasonably priced new homes and functional apartment
living.
Newfield - Just south of Ithaca on Rt 13 is Newfield.
Newfield is a very rural community with a small amount of apartments
or rentals. Most residential properties in Lansing are owner
occupied. One of the highlights of Newfield is the Historic
Covered Bridge Historic
Covered Bridge on the National Register. This site has some

Enfield - On the West Hill of Ithaca is Enfield. Enfield,
NY is less then four miles to Ithaca. The setting is very rural
with no shopping so trips into Ithaca are necessary. Apartments
here are another great value. Most students want to be in the
heart of the action so housing here is reasonable.
Cortland - Heading North up Rt. 13 is Cortland. Cortland
is (www.cortland.org/) Cortland is approximately 30minutes to
Ithaca. The price of rentals in Cortland is lower than Ithaca,
but it is still a college town. Cortland is home to SUNY Cortland
SUNY Cortland. Rentals and Apartments here can be found

Ellis Hollow - Ellis Hollow is Just East of Ithaca and
very close to Cornell. Ellis Hollow is a rural community with
trees and an abundance of wildlife. Cornell's presence can still
be felt with sporadic Cornell facilities and how close campus
is. This is a great place for graduate students or a professor
to live.
Fall Creek - Fall Creek is a tight knit community on
Ithaca's North End. Fall Creek lies directly below Cornell University
and has apartment and housing available in many of the 1900's
style homes. Fall Creek is home to Willow
Restaurant "Featuring Contemporary Culinary Artistry
In a Relaxed Ithaca Atmosphere".
Next to Willow, is Ithaca Fall Creek Pictures. Fall Creek Prictures
offers many independent films and off mainstream cinema. Fall
Creek also encompasses Ithaca High School and Boynton Middle
School. Fall Creek offers its own grocery store (P & C Market)
and many small neighborhood markets all within walking distance.
In this community you are walking distance to Ithaca's Downtown
and Cornell is a straight shot east up the hill.
